The Kennedy Family

I can’t tell you how incredible it is to see people you’ve known through different stages of life become parents. I’m getting teary-eyed writing this because it’s the most amazing miracle, thinking about 19-year-old Michelle becoming a mom. 

Over time, our conversations have shifted from in-person chats as roommates to Macro Polo (thanks, technology), but Michelle is the kind of friend I could call on a crappy day and know she would be in my corner. 

Michelle speaks with grace, and yet she’s one of the most resilient people I know. She is someone you want on your team. She loves people fiercely, and she embodies all that I imagine it means for a woman to have strength.

During this photography session of Michelle, Travis, Harper, and their dog Hondo, I paused multiple times to take in the sweetness of their life together. It is breathtakingly beautiful. Michelle jokingly said, “Trav and Harper are besties, and I third wheel.” 

I watched Trav with his little girl and saw him as a natural. He will continue to be a really, really good dad. Harper adores them both, but it’s safe to say she might love her Crocs more.
